Humanitarian and legal adviser
Simon Liu is a humanitarian and legal adviser with field experience in conflict zones including Syria and Ukraine. A graduate of Sydney Law School, he has advised on privacy law and international law, working with UN agencies, NGOs, governments, and the private sector.
Simon is also dedicated to bringing hope to communities around the world, making a difference in the lives of countless individuals. He founded Building Memorii, a humanitarian project which partners with local organisations to support the welfare of children during times of conflict and humanitarian crisis. He raised funds to support underfunded educational programs for children across Ukraine.
He represented Australia for the 2024 UN Youth Leader Fund for a World without Nuclear Weapons program in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, focusing on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation efforts, and was featured on SBS News.
He has lectured at the University of Sydney under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
